Here is hoping that you are with me each month for this personal communication your way. May God use it in any way He desires.
After hearing and reading the news of our national financial crises, I am convinced we know little about the depth of it and less about the solution. Some seem to think we are on the way out. How can we be when our national debt rises by the trillions?
Only one commentator has urged us to get on our knees and pray about the tremendous changes coming from the White House. It is interesting how at times God tells us exactly what He will do, declared in His Word. Other times we are admonished to believe Him and his hidden reaction is to be revealed later. One thing we know for sure. Romans 8:28 informs us that if believe Him, being in subjection to His will, plan and purpose, ALL THINGS ARE GOING TO WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD. Not all Christians believe this glorious fact stated by God Himself; thus the reason for their fear, anxiety, and frustration.
Talk about the future, we know it will mean blessing or judgment from God. Obedience brings blessing that God longs to bestow upon us. Disobedience and disregard means His wrath for sure. (John 3:36, Romans 1:18) Let's hear some of His promises. "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6,7 "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3 Do you believe God? Then trust the future of our country in His hands. BUT WHAT ABOUT MY PERSONAL FINANCIAL FUTURE? "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
Is your present and future in God's hands? His course of action is revealed in His Word. Believe and rest upon this glorious fact.
