Hi friend! It is my personal delight to chat with you. Here is hoping this finds you well and strong and rejoicing as per instructed, Philippians 4:4. What delight is ours to obey God.
For the past year we have heard the cry for CHANGE. Are we talking of a change or good or bad? It can be either. I declared America will never be the same after 9-11 and also this recent election. We now have a president who believes in killing babies as announced in his campaign for office. His position includes endorsing homosexuality as an acceptable alternate lifestyle. Our fellow countrymen voted for him. America will never be the same. Such action indicates the continuing moral decay within our once great nation.
We must be careful about an appetite for change. It can be for the better or worse. As Christians we are to be satisfied and content. Hear Paul's admonition in Philippians 4:11, “Not that I speak in respect or want; for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be CONTENT.” The principal of change placed the prodigal son in the hog-pen.
One of the most encouraging doctrines in the Bible is the immutability of our God. “For I am the Lord, I change not.” Malachi 3:6 Here God is speaking of judgment as well as grace. God has no such limitations as mere men, such as afflictions, old age, or arthritis. Christ is unchanging. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 He is still able to do everything included in His promises. His resurrection power still operates within individuals who repent of their sin and trust in the finished work of Christ in their behalf. He still meets every need of His children. Philippians 4:19. Heed to His invitation, “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy-laden. And I WILL GIVE YOU REST.” Matthew 11:28.
Again friend, you have heard from me. I hope to hear from you.
